SMART VENT Donates 12 Flood Vents To Dularge House of Praise in Theriot, LA; Bringing Church In Compliance With
Local Floodplain Ordinances

Smart Vent Products, Inc. recently donated their award-winning, flood damage mitigation product, SMART VENT® to the Dularge House of Praise, located in Theriot, LA. Improving in flood management and control, SMART VENT® combines innovative design and human ingenuity to bring new solutions to potential foundation damage in areas affected by floods.

When beginning their church expansion in late 2004, Pastor Anthony Pierre of Dularge House of Praise had only his church members and their personal funds to help finance the project. Due to limited funds, work had not begun until early 2005, only to be halted that summer due to destruction by Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, local shop owner Craig Fuson decided to become a part of the restoration team and lent his time and finances to the church. Gerald Clifton, a volunteer from Tennessee, contacted Smart Vent and inquired about a possible donation of the vents. Committed to community outreach and the flood protection instilled in their product, Smart Vent gladly donated twelve vents to the church to meet the flood-opening requirement of the building code.
